National Geographic Islander Cruise Review
Itinerary: Islander Galapagos - April 2012
I had a wonderful time Linda. As you know I had never traveled solo before and was very anxious to do so. I had booked the trip with a friend but he unfortunately had to cancel. I started looking at every spec of detail and was concerned if I was going to be able to do this on my own. Well I should not have worried and realize I have grown from this experience.
I did my flights with Lindblad and was picked up at the airport. In fact a number of Lindblad passengers were on my same flight. The hotel was lovely and I enjoyed my single room. Everything was seemless from the flights to the hotel to the next flight and then to the ship.
My solo cabin 1S # 244 was lovely. Once on the ship I found that I was able to make friends very quickly and everyone was so kind. Even couples invited me to accompany them on activities or dining. In a short time, the single travelers found each other out and did things together. The staff on the Endeavour were extremely knowledgeable and worked very hard to provide the many activities for passengers to choose to participate in or not. I found myself saying yes to most activities and did not regret it. Most of all, experiencing the close-up encounters with the amazing wildlife was the height of my trip. My pictures are truly amazing. This trip was magical!
